Step 1: Have Your Media Kit Ready

A media kit is your creator resume. It should include your bio, audience demographics, engagement statistics, and a portfolio of your best work. You can also include key metrics such as follower count, engagement rate, and growth analytics. Once you connect your Instagram to July, your Media Kit will automatically be created. You can view, edit, & customize your kit using the Media Kit tab.

Step 2: Craft a Winning Pitch

To secure your first paid partnership, a compelling pitch is essential. Head to our Templates tab to start drafting. Highlight your unique qualities, expertise, and why your audience trusts you. You can also share past successes and metrics to demonstrate your ability to deliver results. Make sure to offer deliverables while being flexible about the specifics of the branded partnerships. Ending with a call to action will make it easy for the brand to respond! We also have sample pitches you can use and customize to make your own. Psst! Don’t forget to include your July Media Kit link so brands have easy access to your analytics.

Step 3: Specify Your Brand Preferences

You can specify the brands you’d like to be matched with in our Discover Dashboard. Just click on the preferences button and select up to 5 categories of brands you’d like to be matched with. Make sure these categories align with your content and audience.

Step 4: Enable Automatic Pitching

In your Discover Dashboard, go ahead and click on the Brand Preferences menu, right next to the “Request a brand.” A drop-down menu will appear allowing you to choose the template you’d like to pitch with. Once you’ve selected a template, you can toggle Automatic Pitching from OFF to ON.

Make sure that the Brand Categories you have selected below represent the kind of brands you’d like to reach out to. Only select categories you’d be comfortable pitching to and creating content for.

Step 5: Monitor Your Inbox

Once you’ve enabled Automatic Pitching, your work is almost done! The only thing you have to do is monitor your personal inbox to see those responses rolling in. Once a brand reaches back out to, you can negotiate rates, deliverables, and a desired timeline. The great news? July doesn’t take a commission of your payment, so you keep 100% of your payout!!

With Automatic Pitching, you’ve just unlocked hundreds of potential deals at your fingertips. Those deals will be signed, sealed, and delivered in no time.
