Weekly product updates from the July team.

Earnings → Talent Portal

As our favorite month comes to a close, we’re waving goodbye to the memories and locking in for what’s next. Or, in the wise words of Matt: “Keep the blinds closed. It’s time to lock in.”

This week, we rolled out a slew of sharp upgrades: currency conversions, earnings on talent dashboards, and new deck filters. We improved our OG product, tightened up copy, and squashed every bug in sight (as always).

Quiet wins, but solid ones.

Tasks → Talent Portal

The days are hot and the summer rains are long and unforgiving.

All the while we stay cracking. This week brought acres of improvements and small wins. Most notably in the Talent Portal (which, for the sake of time, will be referred to as TP). All tasks in the TP are now shown in their own page, and talent will get notified via email when they have something they need to do. Its a beautiful world out there, sometimes we need reminders.

New permissions & cleanup

This week was all about the gravy on top.

The many weeks before have been defined by the meat and the potatoes. What do I mean by that? It’s simple.  We’ve been shipping massive features, onboarding disgustingly large customers, and have laid the groundwork for a very powerful product. But, the devil is in the details, and so that was this weeks focus. We cleaned things up, fixed a few bugs, and continued on in the endless pursuit of greatness.

Others are simply built regular,

Commission Management

Commission is finally here, and it’s self-serve!

You can set your own rates and customize splits per talent to override default manager settings, because “one-size-fits-all” is for socks. Not deals. If you are trying to stop Karen from giving herself 90%, you’re in luck. Whether you’re rewarding top performers, or keeping things lean, you’re now in full control of how the money moves — no spreadsheets, no awkward Slack convos, and best of all, no more “can you just CashApp me?” moments.

It’s totally your world, and we just charge a small percentage in it.

Interns rule,
The July Team

Billing overhaul (and more)!

As our favorite entrepreneurial crustacean put it…

“MONEY MONEY MONEY”

This week was alllllll about money (our billing update). Since we launched our Pro plan, the team has been manually updating each new customer that upgrades to our Pro plan. That arduous process is no longer our problem thanks to Matt’s triumphant display of gumption. Now, all of our customers can upgrade to whatever plan they choose, whenever they choose.

Which makes us more money.

Other fixes listed below,
The July Team

P.S. Dawg of the week? Matt Hobbs, who who stayed in the office until 11:15pm on Thursday updating each agency’s billing system one by one.

If you take a look to your right, you’ll see something visionary.

Something that needs no introduction.

Something that many folks have requested.

Drum roll please…

We shipped ASSIGNING TASKS AND TALENT CALENDAR VIEW!

And on top of that, talent can now have their own calendar view from the talent portal.

One small step for CRM, one giant leap for agencies

At long last —

The triumphant blare of Gonna Fly Now (yes, the Rocky theme) echoed through the office speakers as we crossed Talent Portal off the whiteboard roadmap. This marks the final new “feature” we’re building for CRM before we go back over everything with a fine-tooth comb and clean up any bugs that might be lurking — which, to be fair, should be none. Bugs aren’t usually our thing…

Getting Enterprise-Ready

Me oh my, what a WEEK!

Started the week by rolling back the “better text editing” we released last Friday (sigh), but we will bring it back even BETTER very soon. Sometimes you gotta crawl before you can… fly?

After that, we got to work by immediately shipping a ton of CRM updates (file upload, deal filters, category management) and adding Facebook as an option in our campaign reporting tool. Both of those tools are becoming incredibly “OP” (over-powered). Oh, and if you couldn't tell, we've been signing enterprise customers left and right. More on that soon!

Bugs were OBLITERATED as always and if you’d like to know which ones, take a look below!

Payments → All Customers

We also created a little one-click invite button so that WHEN everyone and their mothers get onboarded to payments (because it's the best), they can get their existing talent's payment details easily. Everyone will also now get emails when they get paid, which is hype.

A few of our customers requested the ability to add links to media kits, decks, and reports, so of course we delivered.
